In a letter to AWI, trip organiser Mr Duglin thanked the DMC’s team for the “wonderful and outstanding job” in guiding the group on the tours.

He said: “Mr Lanang and Mr Tri were wonderful guides who were very thoughtful, kind and professional.  They are among the very best I’ve ever encountered anywhere in the world.

“Of course, our entire group is in love with Ms Melvyn – she was absolutely wonderful and is the perfect person to work with the North American market. She is cheerful, friendly and very professional.  Melvyn is truly a treasure and put together the very best programme!”
