The daily flight is to meet strong demand from leisure travellers.
Good news for Bali as Emirates will launch a daily direct service from Dubai to Bali from June 3, 2015.
The new flight is to meet demand from leisure visitors to the resort island. Currently Emirates customers have to travel via multiple stops, or via other points in Indonesia to reach Bali.
The airline will operate the non-stop service with a Boeing B777-300ER aircraft in a two-class configuration.
Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ executive vice president and COO, said: "There is high interest in Bali from across our network, specifically in the leisure segment.”
Bali will be Emirates’ 148th global destination, adding to the airline’s route network in the Asia Pacific region that currently spans 23 destinations in 13 countries.
Emirates launched services to Indonesia in 1992 with three flights per week via Singapore and Colombo. The airline has been operating three non-stop flights daily from Jakarta to Dubai with a Boeing B777 aircraft since March 2013.
