AirAsia to increase flights to Banda Aceh

The additional frequencies will enhance accessibility to the city.

Asia’s largest budget carrier, AirAsia, is increasing its flight frequencies for the Kuala Lumpur-Banda Aceh route from daily flights to 10 times weekly.

The added services to Banda Acheh, the capital and largest city in the province of Aceh, Indonesia, will commence on 16 July, 2015 with the flight code AK.

The low cost carrier currently operates more than 250 weekly flights connecting Malaysia and Indonesia covering 16 cities throughout the archipelago.

Direct flights are available from various hubs in Malaysia, namely from Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baharu, Penang and Kota Kinabalu to Balikpapan, Bandung, Bali, Lombok, Jakarta, Medan, Banda Acheh, Jogjakarta, Padang, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Pontianak, Semarang, Solo, Surabaya, and Makassar.
