Indonesia’s flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia, connects the country’s capital city of Jakarta to a number of Chinese cities. It currently operates three weekly flights between Beijing and Jakarta, and daily flights on the Shanghai-Jakarta-Guangzhou -Jakarta routes.
Singapore Airlines, Singapore’s national carrier, will mop up more shares in low cost carrier, Tiger Airways, in the next few weeks after declaring its newest S$0.45 cents per share takeover offer for the budget airline wholly unconditional.
MASwings, a wholly subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines Bhd, suspended its thrice-weekly service between Kuching in Sarawak and Pontianak in Indonesia on 1 February 2016. The last flight to Pontianak was on 30 January.
