An environmentally-friendly resort for sun worshippers, nature lovers, and divers.
The Plataran Menjangan, located within the West Bali National Park, is about 100 kilometres from Bali’s capital city of Denpasar, or about 50 kilometres west from the northern city of Singaraja, the capital of Buleleng regency. It covers 382 hectares within the Park, and offers guests the chance to get close to nature.
The hotel offers 55 luxurious well‐appointed rooms and villas. Each villa offers views of sea and the spectacular sunrise and sunset that Bali is famed for.
Resort facilities include the Patio Rooftop Restaurant, Bar & Beach Club, Aqua Marine and Phinisi & Yacht Club, diving centre, Padma Spa, and gym. It also offers activities such as bird watching, horseback riding, trekking, biking and cooking class.
The idea behind The Plataran Menjangan is to create the perfect nature retreat in one of the least‐visited but most pristine parts of Bali. The concept is to work in harmony with nature to establish the ultimate hideaway, an intimate resort where guests can escape the outside world and enjoy nature.
As an environmental resort The Plataran Menjangan is involved in advocating sustainable tourism practices with two programmes. One is the Endemic Tree Planting Programme where guests can participate in the adopt tree programme and help restore the native forests by planting trees. Guests can choose any tree species, and their trees will carry their names on a sign.
The second is the Bali Starling Conservation Programme. The bird is a protected species in Indonesia. The Plataran Menjangan is the first resort in Indonesia that has a Bali Starling conservation facility in the wild, as part of its effort to help to save the species from extinction.
Plataran Hotels & Resorts operates a number of hotels and resorts in exotic locations across Indonesia.
