The soon-to-open 5 star resort is one of the few hotels in Indonesia to meet Earthcheck Global standards
Alila Seminyak, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of this year, has been awarded Earthcheck Certification, making it one of the first resorts in Indonesia to surpass Earthcheck Global standards in Building, Planning and Design Certification.
The hotel’s construction follows strict sustainable design principles and guidelines in accordance to operational Earthcheck standards. It uses locally sourced, recycled and reclaimed building materials including architectural, landscape and interior finishes. Additionally, the hotel has implemented low energy light fixtures, rainwater harvesting, environmental and building management systems.
Located along a pristine beach on Bali’s southwest coast, less than 30 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport, Alila Seminyak stands on the last remaining undeveloped beachfront site in Seminyak.
The resort’s rooms and suites comprise three types ranging in size from 46 to 177 square metres, and one spectacular 811sqm penthouse. Amenities will include beachfront restaurants and pools, Spa Alila and extensive events space.
Alila Seminyak, Bali will be the third new property opened by Alila Hotels & Resorts in 2014, and the fifth on the island of Bali.
