The rebranding is effective from 27 April 2015.
The rebranded Mantra Sakala Resort & Beach Club (ex-The Chedi Sakala) is the second property in Bali for the Mantra Group, joining Peppers Sentosa Seminyak that was added to the network in 2014.
The resort originally opened in 2013, and is located on a 2.4-hectare site at Tanjung Benoa on the Nusa Dua Peninsula, just 10 minutes from the Bali Collection shopping center or a 30-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
It offers 247 suites and 14 private one- and two-bedroom pool villas. Facilities include three swimming pools, a wellness spa, health club and lagoon bar, restaurants, beach club, large conference facilities and kids club.
The stylish Beach Club provides hotel guests and visitors with direct access to the beachfront with an extensive selection of water sports including snorkelling, diving, parasailing, kayaking and boating. It also serves international cuisine, a creative mix of contemporary cocktails and regular entertainment.
For events, Mantra Sakala provides 6,000 square feet of flexible meeting spaces, catering for up to 650 people, theatre-style. All rooms feature modern audio-visual equipment, soundproof walls, Internet access plus world-class AV and business facilities.
The resort also offers a host of locations for weddings including the stunning beachfront and the candlelit poolside. An onsite event-planning team customises culinary preferences and create a personalized itinerary of activities throughout the event.
As part of the rebranding exercise John Berndt, a 20-year hospitality industry veteran, has been named as the General Manager to lead the hotel’s team and its market repositioning. He was most recently the general manager for Pan Pacific Nirwana Resort and Hanging Gardens Ubud, both in Bali.
