The Sanchaya Bintan

A unique resort where guests can relive the romance of colonial elegance in a bygone era

The Sanchaya Bintan opened on 1 Deember, 2014 with a bespoke collection of 21 villas and 9 suites. The luxurious new colonial beachfront estate is located on the idyllic Indonesian island of Bintan, a 45-minute high-speed ferry ride from Singapore, on one of the most spectacular beaches in the region.

The Sanchaya Estate offers guests luxury and highly personalised service and attention to detail by a team trained by the British Butler Institute.

Each villa and suite has its own unique style, reflecting the rich culture, history, and art of the region. All suites and villas feature king-sized beds and walk-in closets, and come complete with luxury amenities – from Ploh bed and bath linen and discreet modern touches such as Bang & Olufsen televisions and sound systems, iPad minis and complimentary WiFi.

The resort offers a range of dining options. The Dining Room caters for all day dining; the poolside Tasanee Grill serves popular Bangkok street cuisine; The Salon & Library is a tranquil lounge area; Decanter is a wine and cheese tasting room; and The Bar offers cocktails, artisanal spirits, gourmet fine leaf teas and blended coffees.

Hotel facilities include the Tasanee pool with a beachfront, spa, and a 24-hour gymnasium. Guests can also enjoy playing the traditional colonial game of croquet, archery and petanque.

The Sanchaya Bintan has spaces for meetings and events (exclusive buy-out available). The Dahlia function room is perfect for exclusive board meetings, corporate retreats, intimate wedding dinners and cocktails for up to 60 people, with a verdant lawn area looking towards the sea for breakout sessions and pre-dinner cocktails.
