Waka Hotels & Resorts, operated by PT WHM Indonesia, has taken over the management and operation of Shorea Beach Resort.

The resort will be rebranded as NusaBay Menjangan by WHM, a 3 star property under the Waka group of hotels. It closed on 10 December 2014 for renovations, refurbishment and enhancement of facilities and services. It will reopen in May 2015 under its new branding.

NusaBay Menjangan by WHM is located on Tanjung Kotal Bay and is surrounded by the natural beauty of West Bali National Park and extensive white sand beaches. The Park’s abundant faunas are frequently seen within the resort’s grounds and on its secluded beach.

The resort is about 20 minutes by local boats from Labuan Lalang Harbour. Menjangan island, famous for its superb snorkeling and scuba diving, is just 10 minutes’ boat ride away from the resort’s private jetty.

Waka Hotels & Resorts is headed by experienced hotelier Kamal K Kaul, the group’s President & CEO. It is currently managing and operating the following business units:

  • WakaGangga – beachfront 4* fine resort in Tabanan, Bali
  • WakaSailing – luxury catamaran sailing to Nusa Lembongan island
  • WakaLandCruise – day trip in a classic Land Rover Defender or Land Cruiser to the secret soul of Bali on Mount Batukaru
  • NusaBay Lembongan by WHM – beachfront 3* charming resort on Nusa Lembongan island
