Dear Friends and Business Partners,
We are pleased to announce Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport has returned to normal operations since Sunday (12 July) after days of interruption due to ash drifting to the airport from the volcanic eruption of Mount Raung in East Java.
Mount Raung’s activity has declined although it is still a little volatile and continues to spew ashes, but the winds are carrying them away from Bali.
We will keep you posted on any change in the volcano’s activity, which could affect operations in the country’s airports.
We also have good news for shoppers. The Indonesian government has reduced the luxury tax on many branded to encourage shopping in the country by the locals, as well as to attract foreign visitors. (read the Bulletin’s Feature story for more on this new development).
So there is not better time to visit Bali and Indonesia than now, to enjoy its bright sunny weather, its beaches, and to shop! Hope to see you in Indonesia soon.
