Dear Friends and Business Partners,
Visitors to Indonesia now have to pay more for a glass of wine or a whisky with the recent imposition of big import tax on spirits. With the new tax import duties, alcoholic drinks sold in Indonesia are now set at 150% of their market price (read the Bulletin’s Feature story for more on this development).
The good news is that everything else is still value for money in the country – from accommodation to food to shopping, the latter very attractive with the government’s move to reduce the luxury tax on many branded goods.
We hope to see you in Indonesia soon.
