ASITA

ASITA

Launched in Jakarta on January 7th 1971, the Association of The Indonesia Tours & Travel Agencies (ASITA) is the only legally acknowledged, non-profit alliance of Indonesian travel entrepreneurships. Operating under the RI Law No. 9/ 1990 regarding Tourism, ASITA provides headship to the communal efforts of Indonesian travel agencies. The exclusively ordered organizations within ASITA have set up structures and made far-reaching efforts to boost the development, value and quality of Indonesian travel and tourism for the benefit of its membership. ASITA has long been active in providing a cohesive structure in order to accommodate the aspirations of its members, while uniting and enhancing its members’ efforts to achieve collective goals, as well as intermediating the travel entrepreneurships with government and other parties.

ASTA

Short for the American Society of Travel Agents, it is the world’s largest association of travel professionals. The members include travel agents and the companies whose products they sell such as tours, cruises, hotels, car rentals, etc. The mission of ASTA and its affiliated organizations is to facilitate the business of selling travel through effective representation, shared knowledge and the enhancement of professionalism. Founded in 1931 as the American Steamship and Tourist Agents’ Association, ASTA and its affiliates now comprise the world’s largest and most influential travel trade association with members in 140 countries.

IAGTO

IAGTO (International Association of Golf Tour Operators) is the global trade organisation for the golf tourism industry. Established in 1997, IAGTO’s membership now comprises 1924 accredited golf tour operators, golf resorts, hotels, golf courses, receptive operators, airlines, tourist boards, approved media and business partners in 90 countries including, at its core, 451 specialist golf tour operators in 58 countries. It is estimated that IAGTO’s operators control over 85% of golf holiday packages sold worldwide and turnover more than €1 billion per year.

OTOAI

OTOAI is a national, not-for-profit organization comprising India’s outbound tour operators and travel agents as its members. With a targeted membership base of over 2000 members, and regional chapters around India, they are dedicated to develop and promote the highest ethical and professional standards in the travel and tourism industry. They aim to foster an environment of collaboration with various stakeholders through our ideology of collective ambition.

The organization aspires to be the leading voice on national and global issues of travel, tourism and hospitality industry while propagating fairness, market efficiency, and customer protection.

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is a membership association acting as a catalyst for the responsible development of the Asia Pacific travel and tourism industry. Since 1951 PATA has led from the front as the leading voice and authority on travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. In partnership with private and public sector members, PATA enhances the sustainable growth, value and quality of travel and tourism to-from-and-within, the region.

USTOA

United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) is a professional, voluntary trade association created with the primary purpose of promoting integrity within the tour operator industry. USTOA is not a regulatory body within the travel industry nor does it provide information about how to set up or market a tour operation. Founded in 1972 by a small group of California tour operators concerned about tour operator bankruptcies. These founding members recognized the need for a unified voice to protect the traveling public, as well as to represent the interests of tour operators. In 1975, USTOA became a national organization with headquarters in New York. Today, USTOA’s Active Members represent some of the top names in travel and tourism, account for a sizable portion of the tour operator market in North America.
