Raffles Hotel Jakarta

The deluxe hotel will bring to Indonesia an authentic expression of Raffles Hotels & Resorts’ philosophy.

Jakarta will get a touch of class in early 2015 with the opening of the 173-key Raffles Jakarta in the Indonesian capital’s commercial hub of Kuningan, with direct access to Ciputra Artpreneur Centre, a new landmark development dedicated to the art and theatre.

Some of the most important works of Indonesia’s famous painter and sculptor, Hendra Gunawan, will be exhibited in the hotel’s interiors. An art concierge will conduct walking tours of the Indonesian icon’s art pieces to provide insights into his fascinating and turbulent life. The \interpretation and display of Gunawan’s artwork in the hotel is a special tribute to Indonesian art by the hotel group.

The hotel’s 173 luxurious rooms and suites, which are some of the largest in Jakarta, also represent the artist’s retreat featuring elegant Indonesian aesthetics and supreme comfort. The bedroom is separate from the lounge to make each guestroom feel like a suite within itself. Also featured is the hallmark Raffles Butler service.

Raffles Jakarta will also have exciting dining options. The Writers Bar is a reinterpretation of the revered institution at Raffles Singapore, an oasis of art, Indonesian history, literature and artefacts. The Arts Café offers a selection of Pan-Asian and European dishes from its theatrical show kitchens. Navina, derived from the Indonesian word for “fresh”, offers an informal poolside setting for light meals, tea or aperitifs amid the lush tropical gardens.

The meetings and social celebration venues range from a private boardroom to the 2,500sqm Grand Dian Ballroom. They are all conveniently located on level 11, with direct access from the car park and express lifts from the lobby entrance.

Recreational facilities include the Signature Raffles Spa, swimming pools (including a children’s pool and play area), a full-service fitness centre, a yoga terrace, tennis courts, two open-air pavilions and a jogging track around and through the lush garden.
